I had a nice relaxing Shabbat at home, it was so nice not to leave the house all day, and stay in my pajamas all day.  My husband took the kids to synagogue, and I had the longest, most amazing nap ever.  When they got home, my oldest son proudly told me that my husband got called up to the Torah reading, and my son was with him.  Today was the most gorgeous weather, so the kids played outside, then we had dinner, and I let them watch one show before bed once Shabbat was over.

The article above was such a pleasure to read today.  It made me think of how I love to find out all the details of a person’s background, nationality, roots, and identity, and how none of that matters when you follow your purpose and passion in life.  We are beyond our identity, we can create our own reality.  Just read the article, Jesse Owens changed the perception of the world, and had a wonderful loving family supporting him every step of the way, even when his own country was not.  He even proved Hitler wrong.
