I was blessed with a mother-in-law that I could be myself with. We spoke in Russian, enjoyed the same food and humor. She honored and respected the person I was, and I honored and respected the person she was. We could be straightforward with each other, so when she told me I had to have a boy, girl, boy just like she did, I obliged.

My kids and all of her grandchildren received so much love from Savta Bronya. She passed away on Shabbat, peacefully and surrounded by love. I am so grateful for her for bringing my husband into this world.
