Markel condemned an antisemitic attack in Germany. Not long before, Macron did the same in France. This has become a frequent occurrence in Europe: an antisemitic attack occurs, and politicians condemn it. But the condemnations change nothing. Antisemitism continues.
What’s even worse is that the appeasement of antisemites by these same politicians continues as well. When they refuse to accept that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, when they urge restraint instead of reiterating that Israel 🇮🇱 has the right to defend itself, when they call Jewish presence in Judea and Samaria illegal, when they refuse to recognize that the Arab side is the obstacle to peace, they are engaging in appeasement.
So when Jews respond with contempt to Merkel’s and Macron’s condemnation of antisemitism, I don’t blame them.
It keeps happening, but the good news is that Jews are not going anywhere, because there is no place else for us to go.

Fred Maroun This may seem like a stupid move on Sarsour’s part because attacking the left-wing and very credible Anti-Defamation League (ADL) exposes her as the antisemite that she claims she isn’t. But don’t be fooled. It is very likely that she knows exactly what she’s doing, and this is her way of reassuring her followers that any support she pretends to offer to Jews is indeed fake.
‘On the album, Farid Bang raps about his training regime, boasting that “my body is more defined than an Auschwitz prisoner’s.”’
Afshine Emrani is feeling determined.
I’ve been having nightmares, waking up and praying for her family. The PTSD of being a Holocaust survivor. The stories. The torture living with others were murdered. Survivor’s guilt. The fact that 80 years ago, world leaders met in France to decide what to do with “Jewish refugees” escaping Hitler just a couple of countries over. They closed their doors and locked them out. 80 years later, Mireille Knoll was a symbol of survival, of hope, of a “changed world” and of different possibilities. But, at 85, before she got the chance to die naturally, she was (as we are crudely reminded by the Yom Kippur prayer, Unetaneh Tokef) brutally stabbed and the burned in her own home in France. France stabbed her twice! Different times, 80 years apart, same exact hate. Her sin? Being born a Jew!
#NeverForget her face. That loving smile. Her family will now live with two sets of PTSD for life and they will die every single day of their lives. The ONLY answer, our only answer, is ISRAEL. 80 years ago, there was no Israel. Today, every Jew has a home, a Jewish home, a strong home that protects them. Israel didn’t happen because of the Holocaust, the Holocaust happened because there was no Israel. #NeverAgain Mireille- I never knew you, but I will always love you and your spirit. #BDE #Dayenu
Happy Israel Indepedence Day,
