New mothers may be told by books and doctors that they’ll be back to ‘normal’ within six weeks of giving birth, but a new study has found that most women take much longer…
In many countries all over the world, women do not leave their house for 40 days, approximately six weeks after birth. In the United States once you have a baby, it is all about the baby. The doctor is not interested in seeing you until the six week checkup. Even then, the focus is not on healing, because the medical mentality is to cure, so they do not know how to delve into the roots, and the whole body, mind dynamic.
A mother is born, we are never the same. We can renew, regenerate, nurture and heal our body into a healthy, functional, and balanced new you.
If we do not take care of ourselves, who will do it?
As the baby takes, as it should, we will get depleted if we do not replenish.

Healing is different from curing. Curing is the business of medicine, and it involves eliminating symptoms; while healing is the crafting of a healthy lifestyle by eliminating the cause of suffering and disease and then creating a meaningful destiny. Ours is the practice of healing. Healing attends to the souls and the spirit.- Alberto Villoldo
