Each year I learn more and more about customs and traditions surrounding Shabbat and Holidays. After Passover, before Shabbat, there is a Challa baking celebration, and I decided to take part and have my kids share in the fun. I went last night to CPY, one of the synagogues in our community, and was guided along with 50 women how to put all the ingredients together. Then I brought it home to rise, and this morning my daughter and youngest son made their own, and later tonight before we bake, my oldest son and I will make a big one in the shape of a key. Here is a beautiful explanation, http://www.joyofkosher.com/2012/04/what-is-key-challah/.
Excited to be back in our routine,
Blessed that Shabbat is part of that routine that takes us out of the routine,
Present,
Grateful,
Shabbat Shalom,
Coach Yulia
