Israel was not born because of the Holocaust, there were Jews of all colors and nationalities in Africa and the Middle East too. The Nation of Israel has been around since every empire you can imagine, and even before that. During the Holocaust, and even all around the world, Jews were victimized and attacked freely, Thank God we have our voices and our homeland, and this will never happen again. I am so grateful for brave souls that stood up to the hate and violence, nothing can be compared to the extermination mentality of the Holocaust.
It was so beautiful for me to see Australia welcome Israel with open arms, and show proudly how Jewish people can live and prosper. Israel stands for every Jew around the world, it is a testament to our history and our nation. It is also a beautiful example of democracy, Jews of every color and practicing their religion as they choose, as well as Christians and Muslims living peacefully together.
Thank You Israel for being a symbol of strength, fairness, and an example for my children and the world.
