I had a very early class morning, it is so close to my house it makes no sense to drive, so I usually ride my bike. It was drizzling, so I decided I would be fine with the bike, the driving and parking just really makes no sense. So I get out on the sidewalk feeling all good about myself, when the bus and cars speed by in the lane next to the sidewalk and splash a puddle of water right on me! All I can say is “REALLY?” Then all I can really do is laugh it off, because this is life, and our new presidency and new era is life too, and we all will just go forward, deal, and hopefully be part of the process, or just talk about it.
Obama gave his farewell speech yesterday, and the one thing that he has been a beautiful example of is a healthy, loving family, husband, and father, and our country really needed that. After the Clinton fiasco, and Bushes daughters getting wasted, at least now we have intelligent and modern young people to inspire us. The quote below from the speech is interesting, because it is the truth on both sides, everyone is in their own corner, and agreeing with what they want to hear, Meryl Streep is a great example of this.
#truth ““Increasingly, we become so secure in our bubbles that we accept only information, whether true or not, that fits our opinions, instead of basing our opinions on the evidence that’s out there.” -Barack Obama
These posts were making me laugh and nod my head today, enjoy!
I just learned that the source for all the so called insider information about Trump and Russian call girls actually originated from BUZZFEED, and that the report was merely an accusation lodged by an an unknown person claiming to have secret information but was unable to back it up with any actual evidence. Plus the BUZZFEED stated that the report had numerous spelling errors. Obviously, this makes the information very suspicious. Amazingly, it was still put forth to the world as news. I find this very troubling. Regardless of what one feels about Trump, or your political affiliations, the truth should be sacrosanct. News should be true, or at the very least accurate, and not merely unfounded rumor or accusation. God help us all.
Y’all had eight years to go to school, obtain a degree in political science or international relations, go to law school, apply for internships and obtain jobs as Washington insiders.
But you didn’t.
You’re on social media lamenting and lambasting.
We are now back to square one.
Once again, you have four years to get off the Internet and go become the change that you so desperately want in the world.
If you’re not going to do this, leave everyone else alone.
Because you’re annoying.
Remember, fellow common folk – whatever your race, gender, orientation, or religion – the Power Elite wants us destabilized and fighting one another because our Unity is the one thing that can take their power away.
“Ultimately, that’s what our democracy demands. It needs you. Not just when there’s an election, not just when your own narrow interest is at stake, but over the full span of a lifetime. If you’re tired of arguing with strangers on the internet, try to talk with one in real life.”
Without a doubt, I believe in equal rights/pay/etc for females of all ages worldwide. But I hesitate labeling myself a feminist, because modern feminism seems to have taken an annoying turn. The majority of younger modern feminists I come across online are so petty and hypocritical, it’s ridiculous. Their antagonistic remarks and behavior makes me be like… yea no, I don’t want to identify as being one of them. I just want to grab them all, give them a really good shake, and tell them to stop bitching and start positively empowering.
