So many people are counting down to the holidays, and this year its double the fun, Chanukah and Christmas are together this year.  Chanukah is actually not a major holiday in Judaism, but in America because of Christmas, more people know about it.  What I love is that in my neighborhood it is a non stop party, Chanukah parties day and night.  It is more about events, celebration, and getting together more so than presents.  Of course food, we eat everything fried from potato pancakes (latkes) to donuts (sufganiyot.)

My mom is here, friends are flying to town in a couple of days, and everyone will be out and about, festive and fun!
