Rest, Recover, Recharge

It is so fascinating how our body is so strong yet so fragile. On one hand it is this well oiled machine, but when not well oiled it starts to malfunction. I love to say excess once in a while is moderation, whether in work or play. Then it is extra important to counterbalance with rest, recovery in order to recharge and be at full capacity. Does this all sound too mechanical? Many people treat their cars and pets better than they treat themselves. Not to mention exhausted parents who do everything for everyone else, work, kids, and everything in between.

I definitely need to get my beauty rest this Shabbat, I am modeling on Sunday for a huge mom event in the Grove, come check it out, www.socalmoms.com.  I am exhausted from the work I love, spent early Thursday until late afternoon assisting and supporting bringing a baby into the world.  I got home and put my self to bed at 7pm, and slept the whole night through.  Today I had four classes in the morning, now the kids are home, and we are all getting ready for Shabbat.

If we do not take care of ourselves, who else is going to do it for us? We need to be there for everyone and everything in our lives, and the only way we can do it is to take care of ourselves.

I look forward to Shabbat all week!

Shabbat Shalom,

Coach Yulia
