I really am married to Facebook, and it looks like I got married to my husband the same year that I got married to Facebook, our wedding was on August 14, 2007. I love to try all the fun games that always pop up on my feed, and it is so interesting to me that my first photo that I posted on Facebook was my wedding picture, how appropriate to symbolize my commitment and love. Many people tell me to do Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Snapchat, Whatsapp, and all the other ways to connect and communicate, and I just cannot commit to anybody else at this time. I tried instagram, but forcing me to take a picture of something everyday does not work for me, I like to choose what and how I would like to share myself with the world, but I get it if you have a business or something to promote. Twitter just doesn’t let me talk, it limits me, I think if you are a celebrity and have a following, people feel like they get to know you with your tweets. Everything else will be a whole other system to put into my brain, and as a busy mom of three with her own business and full life, I am satisfied with everything Facebook does for me at this time.
I get to blog, share my family, connect with my extended family that lives all over the world, and also get to know people from all walks of life that I would have never had a chance to meet. I have traveled a lot and met so many people from all over the world, and we keep finding each other through Facebook, and I get to see what they are up to now, with kids it is just not possible to make a phone call, or GASP write a letter, how did we function before? What I also love is not I am connected to mommies all over the world, and we learn from each other, and help each other. I also get to be a strong voice for the Jewish people and Israel, and directly talk to people who want to hear a Jewish perspective.
Lucky for me as I network and meet people, most are also on Facebook, and those that are not, wow, it really takes an effort to figure out how to stay connected. One of my closest childhood friends that lives on the other coast is close to my heart every day because I see what her family and kids are up to, and I laugh along and feel that we are not so far away.
No this is not a promotion,
