So much fun last night in our neighborhood Chanukah party in the streets, you can see a video of it at the end of the blog. There were fun rides for the kids, someone walking around with the traditional donuts, sufganiyot, and great music, entertainment, and tons of friends. It rained right before it all started, it felt so refreshing afterwards, the kids were excited to put on their rainboots, jackets, and use their umbrellas. I am always in awe of how no matter what, Jewish people cling to their traditions and culture, below is a powerful picture commemorating our Jewish brothers and sisters that clung to their roots no matter what.
Remembering Chanukah From Our Past:
When Israeli architects chose reminiscing the Jewish ghetto life inWarsaw, Poland, during the most horrific period in human life history, by lightening the Menorahs of Hanukah where Jews once lived in, as of a reminder that “LIGHT Wins Darkness”, and “We’re Still Here”, “We choose the light..”, this picture brings out to life the respect to the ones that lost their lives because bigotry, racism and evil, but remain alive to tell that darkness ends where the light is turned on.
