I just finished fasting for 26 hours since last night for Yom Kippur, and luckily overall I was physically fine, but it really makes you think. It made me realize that I can do anything I set my mind to, with portion control, exercise, as well as putting my all into running my business and giving 100% to my family.
I helped run the kids program at our synagogue, it is a good distraction for me from fasting, and makes the time go by. One of my best friends joins me every year, it has become a tradition, with our busy lives we do not see each other much, and it is exciting to hang together, I call her the honorary Jew. When the kids and I got home, they saw a spider, and I am usually the exterminator, and I just did not feel right killing anything on a holy day, so I told them it would have to wait.
Another one of my close friends sent me a very powerful article, and though I would appreciate it because of my spiritual connection. I love how I have connected with friends from all walks of life, religions, backgrounds, nationalities, I love my spiritual connection, and I cannot get enough of making connections with amazing people, and still do.
Here is the article, it is intense, give yourself time to read and absorb:
I am always in awe how I keep on crossing paths with the right people at the right time, and we stay close and every time we see each other, we just pick up where we left off. I also love that my family connection is so strong and close, we are all so different, but love and appreciate each other, excited to keep getting together for celebrations.
